This HTRF cell-based assay conveniently and accurately detects phosphorylated Tie2 at Tyrosine 992. Tie2 is a Tyrosine-protein kinase expressed in endothelial cells that acts as a cell-surface receptor for angiopoietins and regulates angiogenesis, migration, survival, adhesion, and proliferation. Its main role is to ensure vascular quiescence and maintenance. In presence of Angiopoietin 1, the receptors form homodimers, followed by the autophosphorylation of the C-terminal tails at Tyrosine 992 and activation of the downstream signaling pathways.
