Cholesterol–PEG 600, 5 g

Cholesterol is one of the important constituent of all membranes. It is made up of a hydrophobic, planar, a polar hydroxyl group, fused-ring nucleus and a short hydrocarbon tail. Cholesterol-PEG 600 has been used to evaluate its ability to induce apoptosis in vascular smooth muscle cells. It has also been used to restore cholesterol following depletion by methyl β-cyclodextrin.
