Malic dehydrogenase from bovine heart 5 KU

Malic Dehydrogenase from bovine heart contains a histidine residue at the NAD-binding active site which is critical for activity. When this histidine is mutated a loss in activity is observed. Malic dehydrogenase has been used in a study to assess a flow injection system for on-line monitoring of fumaric acid in biological processes. It has also been used in a study to investigate a root-knot nematode parasitizing peanut in Texas.
